On 12th September 2022, The Brand Marquee turned 10 years old!
There have been many fantastic people who have helped us reach this major milestone and it feels right to shine a spotlight on some of those we are lucky enough to call clients, friends and allies.
“Our clients are more than our customers, they’re our long-term partners,” states Susan Anderton, founder of The Brand Marquee. “Over the years we have collaborated and worked with passionate thought leaders to strengthen each other’s companies – driving innovation and growth, and, of course, having some tremendous fun along the way.”
To mark our decade in business, we asked three of our treasured clients – PLS, HartDixon and CampbellReith – to reflect on the journey they’ve shared with us. Here’s what they had to say…

“We were introduced to The Brand Marquee a number of years ago by a non-executive chairman on our board. He’d met Susan in another life and suggested we connect. After that, we arranged a meeting with Susan and her team – and the rest is history!”

Before working with us, PLS – a prominent property law firm – already had an internal marketing team, but they needed extra support.
“We have a few marketing staff members, but, of course, with in-house marketing, you’re only as good as the skills you have in-house,” Dan explains. “We found that there’s a lot to marketing: social media, branding, content, competitor analysis, animations… all sorts of things that require different, far-reaching skills.”

Over the years, our team has helped PLS raise brand awareness and maintain a strong online presence through marketing campaigns, brand development and website design.

“I’ve known Susan for a number of years – and worked together about 20 years ago,” explains Simon, recalling how the building consultancy and project management company, HartDixon, began its relationship with The Brand Marquee.
“We didn’t have an internal marketing team, but we wanted to develop a strategy for increasing brand awareness. I knew Susan was exceptionally passionate about the power of marketing, so I introduced her to my team.”

The Brand Marquee has now worked with HartDixon for more than three years. During this time, we’ve supported Simon and his team with social media marketing, website design, business development and more.
“The Brand Marquee is our go-to for all things marketing,” Simon adds. “From social media campaigns to website design and development, we go to the team for all our needs, and it’s been a really positive experience all the way through.”
Beyond traditional marketing capabilities, HartDixon also looks to our team for strategic consulting. He shares: “It was a proud moment for our team when we achieved two ISO certifications: ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015, which reinforce our commitments to quality assurance and environmental sustainability.”

“The Brand Marquee team were pivotal during the certification process,” he continues. “They offered really valuable consulting and put all the processes and controls in place to enable us to get those accreditations.”
How would Simon sum up the Brand Marquee team? One word springs to mind: “passion”.
“Susan and her team are genuinely passionate about the powers of branding and marketing. It shows in everything they do,” he concludes.

“I can’t believe it’s been ten years already,” says Andrew, as he recalls how the engineering consulting firm started its business relationship with The Brand Marquee.

“Initially, The Brand Marquee team helped us with a five-year business plan, along with overhauling and refreshing our social media policies,” he explains. “Then, when one of our internal social media team left, we were left with a resource shortage. Susan and her team jumped in and helped us out where we couldn’t cover everything internally.”
Since then, the relationship between CampbellReith and The Brand Marquee has bloomed further. Andrew explains: “The relationship is really positive for us. Susan, Hattie and the team have helped us to refresh our marketing and business development approaches. They challenge us to look at things differently with a focus on developing aspects of the business we wouldn’t have before.”
